Pinot Nero IGT Provincia di Pavia. It takes its name from the vineyard from which its comes, a Pinot Noir lot of about 2 hectares located at about 400 meters above the sea level and exposed to South/South-West. It is located on the opposite side from Pernice and, as the crow flies, right above Villa Fornace.
An elegant and demanding Cru
Planted in 2001 using Burgundian clones of great finesse, this piece of land is isolated from the surrounding trees and enjoys a particular microclimate, with rainfall even 30-40% lower than the average of the property. This leads the plants to a lower vegetative vigor and a slight advance of ripening. The benches are small and compact with a limited production, ideal characteristics for an elegant Pinot Noir.
