A short distance from the villa is the lemon house (in Italian, limonaia), built by the Countess Anna Giorgi Vimercati di Vistarino at the beginning of the nineteenth century. Used originally, as the name suggests, as a wintering place for ornamental lemon trees, this building has more recently served for drying the Riesling grapes used to produce Casa Vistarino’s fragrant passito dessert wine. The company’s plans include restoring this building and making it available for wine tasting events, as well as weddings, business conferences, and corporate events various.
